Can you believe we’re in April already? Time just seems to fly by, and before you know it, we’ll be celebrating Christmas! I hope your 2019 has got off to an amazing start and that you’ve got lots of wonderful activities planned. I’ve just returned from a luxurious break in Paris with my partner to celebrate my birthday. It was great being able to relax, spend some quality time together and explore a new city.
Travelling is one of my biggest passions, but with so many places to see, it can be difficult choosing where to visit next! Now that spring is finally here and I’ve packed away my winter clothes, I feel inspired to book a trip somewhere hot and sunny! To help give you heaps of inspiration for your post-vows getaway, we’ve put together a jam-packed honeymoon section, including Zanzibar on page 130 and Rome on page 132.

Glen-Yr-Afon
Glen-Yr-Afon is an award-winning hotel in Monmouthshire. The four-star Victorian villa is a short walk away from the delightful town of Usk, which is full of boutique shops and charming restaurants. There are 28 modern bedrooms couples can choose from and a range of packages to suit all budgets. The property first opened its doors in 1974 and boasts a neutral décor throughout.
Nearlyweds can tie the knot in the grand Ballroom, an elegant space with large bay windows that overlook the surrounding countryside, with room for 150 friends and family throughout the day.
Alternatively, the Library, with its conical ceiling and striking décor, has space for 30 loved ones for the vows and 20 for the evening celebration.
Receptions take place in the on-site restaurant. It’s capable of holding 35 nearest and dearest, while the Dining Room can hold 22.
