November/December 2020

November/December 2020

It’s that time of year again where the shops are packed, and everyone is getting into the festive spirit. After a rough year, I think we can all agree that a few weeks of Christmas cheer is most welcome. Whatever your plans are, I hope you have a lovely time and take a well-deserved break.

The November/December issue has always been my favourite, and I look forward to writing it every year. It’s packed full of inspiration, adorable products, seasonal weddings and the latest fashion trends. To celebrate the end of 2020, we’ve gone all out with a catering feature that will help you create the perfect festive menu, jewellery and accessories pages and wintry make-up tips. If you’re dreaming of tying the knot in a fairytale venue, then we’ve got you covered on page 19 or if you’re looking for something in Monmouthshire or the Brecon Beacons head over to page 15.

Don’t forget if you’re planning your big day or have recently got married to submit your wedding. You can get in touch at Melissab@kdmediapublishing.com or enter online.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and I’ll see you in the new year!

Cefn Tilla Court

Dating back to the 17th-century, Cefn Tilla Court was once home to Lord Raglan, the youngest son of the Duke of Beaufort. The hotel is nestled within 120 acres of beautiful countryside, and the peaceful gardens, lawns, and ornamental lily pond make the perfect setting for a drinks reception.

Guests can choose from a range of accommodation, including shepherd’s huts, stables, a coach house and a beautifully-decorated apartment.

Ceremonies take place in the Pagoda, next to the oriental lily pond, with up to 170 friends and family.

Alternatively, the historic Great Hall can be used. Located at the front of the house, the windows overlook the lawns and lily pond, letting in plenty of natural light and the wood-panelling and carved family crest exude a sense of history and charm. The room has space for 90 guests for the service and 40 for the reception.

Larger celebrations are held in the Courtyard Marquee, with room for 150 loved ones throughout the day and 200 in the evening. The marquee is a blank canvas that can be tailored to suit any theme or colour scheme, ideal for those wanting to personalise their day.
