July/August 2022

It’s finally here, my final issue as Miss Barker! In just a few short weeks, I will officially be Mrs Cullen, and I cannot wait. My fiancé, Dave, and I have been engaged for nearly 18 months, and with all of the lockdowns and uncertainty it’s been quite a rollercoaster of emotions, but now that the day is nearly here, it’s all starting to feel real. It seems like just yesterday that I was telling our loved ones that we were engaged and here we are about to tie the knot. My number one piece of advice is to enjoy the process and make it about what you want. We found that some of our nearest and dearest were quite vocal about what they wanted and how the day should be, which can feel quite overwhelming at times, but try to remember it’s meant to be about you and your partner. Pick things that you want and that will make you both happy and forget about everyone else.

In this issue, we have a flowers feature looking at the latest trends, a weather-focused photography feature and we showcase gorgeous venues in Pembrokeshire and Swansea. If that’s not enough, we also look at showstopping dresses and wow-factor honeymoon destinations.

If you’d like your wedding featured in the magazine or have been involved with a styled shoot, drop me an email or submit here.

Manor Park Country House

Manor Park Country House is set within 12 acres of landscaped gardens and boasts picturesque florals and greenery all year round. The building has been refurbished several times throughout its history and offers a modern twist on the original architecture from the 1700s. The property is dressed with grand chandeliers and a hand-carved wooden staircase finished with golden steel accents. Although it’s decked out with modern-day facilities, the venue retains many of its prominent architectural features and oozes character.

Ceremonies of up to 300 guests can take place in the grand Ashleigh Suite, or it can be split into two to accommodate 80 friends and family.

More intimate celebrations are held in the Alisha Suite, which has room for 80 loved ones.

During the most recent refurbishment, the beautiful patio was extended and is ideal for outdoor weddings.
