May/June 2021

I’ve been so excited ever since Boris announced the Government’s road map. Obviously, things can still change, but it looks like weddings are going to come back in full swing, and I cannot wait! I’m set to get married in July 2022 and have booked a few suppliers, including the venue, photographer and caterer. If like me, you’re excited to get out there and start planning, then you’ve come to the right place as we’ve put together an issue bursting with inspiration. We have delicious cakes that are to die for, fun transport options, the latest ballgowns, news from local suppliers, and so much more.

Now weddings are go go go, make you get in touch once you’ve tied the knot to have your big day featured! You can submit your wedding via our website – www.yoursouthwales.wedding/get-involved-real-wedding or by emailing me at Melissab@kdmediapublishing.com

Have fun planning!

Cefn Tilla Court

Cefn Tilla Court is a 17th-century building that was once home to Lord Raglan, the youngest son of the Duke of Beaufort. This historic property is nestled within 120 acres of beautiful countryside and offers the perfect setting for weddings. The landscaped gardens, front lawns and ornamental lily point create a peaceful and scenic setting for a drinks reception and capturing those all-important photographs. Offering exclusive use, the venue is ideal for a peaceful weekend away in one of the on-site luxury shepherd’s huts, stables, coach houses or apartments.

The Pagoda, located next to the oriental lily pond, can accommodate up to 170 loved ones for the ceremony.

Alternatively, the Great Hall can be used. Located at the front of the house, it has windows overlooking the front lawns letting in plenty of natural light. The wood panelling and carved historic family crest exude a sense of history and charm that only a grand country house can achieve. Ideal for intimate weddings, it can hold up to 90 people for the service and 40 for the reception.

Large celebrations are held in the courtyard marquee, which has exposed stone walls and space for 150 seated guests and 200 for the evening.

The 1st May sees Jo Malone London launch its latest limited edition collection. Inspired by nostalgic scenes and marmalade dreams The Marmalade Collection features five charming new fragrances - Tangy Rhubarb, Rose Blush, Orange Peel, Elderflower Cordial, and Blackberry & Bay. Natural fruit extracts were created specially for The Marmalade Collection by one of the UK's leading soft fruit processors in Blairgowrie, Scotland. Usually used in the food industry, fruits and berries from local growers are steam distilled into draughts that are added directly to the fragrance. These extracts help to capture the true vibrancy of tart rhubarb and juicy blackberry.

Retreat to the city at The Marylebone, London

As the country prepared for Lockdown Part II, my husband and I managed to sneak in a last-minute escape to the city to enjoy a much-needed retreat at The Marylebone. Nestled in the hotel's super-trendy namesake neighbourhood, between the Georgian Welbeck Street and the part-pedestrianised Marylebone Lane, you're just a short walk from London's most famous Monopoly locations, from Bond Street to Mayfair.
