November/December 2019

I can’t believe we’re celebrating the 70th issue of Your South Wales Wedding! It seems like only yesterday I was beginning my first issue, but here we are! To mark this milestone, I’ve created an issue bursting with inspiration. We have four real weddings, starting on page 35, three regional shoots on pages 83, 87 and 91 and a special anniversary feature on page 113.

Living in Wales, you’re lucky enough to have your pick of beautiful wedding venues. To help narrow down your search, we’re focusing on Monmouthshire and fairytale locations on pages 21 and 29. What’s more, we’ve got a bumper fashion section, starting on page 97 and we explore the best jewellery and accessories South Wales has to offer on pages 59-63. We’re also getting ready for the new year with our catering feature over on page 67. Warning: Don’t read on an empty stomach!

Thank you for sticking with us through the years, and here’s to another 70 issues!

Tall John's Weddings

Tall John’s Weddings is set within acres of private grounds and boasts fine lawns, mature trees and exceptional views across the valley. There are plenty of places to explore, including the walled garden, olive trees, stone seating and charming double-seated swing. Friends and family can stay the night in the Honeysuckle Cottage, The Coachmans or in the manor house.

Celebrate in style
Ceremonies can take place in the wooden Gazebo. Located in the garden, it’s beautifully decorated and is ideal for al fresco celebrations.
Alternatively, the restored Welsh Barn can be used. This magical room has underfloor heating, insulation, electric points, slit windows, high beams, hard floors and exposed brickwork. It’s capable of holding 160 nearest and dearest for the service and 150 for the evening celebration.
The gorgeous split-level Granary, with its canopied beams, is licensed for 80 people but extra attendees can stand in the gallery above.
The last room available is the Drawing Room. Ideal for intimate services, this stunning area can hold 20 loved ones for the vows.

We love...
Lovebirds will have exclusive use of the property and a breakfast basket on the morning after the wedding.
