Can you believe it’s the end of another year? After everything we’ve all been through in the last two years, I think we deserve to relax and what better time than Christmas? This festive season feels strange to me as it's my last as a Miss. I'm getting married in July 2022, and the countdown is officially on. Everything is booked and I’m starting to get excited and nervous about the idea of walking down the aisle. I love writing about your weddings and sharing your stories with our wonderful region, and it’s given me some great ideas for my own big day and is helping keep my nerves in check!
The November/December issue has always been my favourite, so we’ve gone all out to create an issue full of inspirational weddings, shoots, catering options, jewellery ideas and fairytale venues.

De Courceys Manor
De Courceys Manor is a family-owned wedding venue, located in one of the most beautiful areas of South Wales. Run since 2009, the five-star manor offers the perfect combination of style, service and exclusivity. Inside this Georgian manor is a stylish décor, several wedding spaces, as well as a craft gin lounge, a glass Atrium and a welcoming children’s room. Guests are welcome to stay in the nine-country cottages and boutique apartment located within the manor.
Couples can get married in the Oriental Suite, which has a neutral décor throughout, perfect for couples looking for a blank canvas with space for 25 guests.
Alternatively, the Floral Suite can be used. This room oozes elegance and can cater for up to 130 friends and family for the service and 60 for the wedding breakfast.
The Tapestry Suite has a dedicated bar and room for 130 nearest and dearest for the ceremony and 200 for the evening celebration.

The Naked Vegan in Cardiff has won Best Vegan Wedding Cake Company at the Global Vegan Awards. Sarah Powney, the owner, tells us more: "This year has been a whirlwind with everything that has been happening in the country, so to win Vegan Bakery of the Year was fantastic and then to be nominated and win Best Vegan Wedding Cake Company is the icing on the cake! I would like to thank all our fabulous, enthusiastic, and dedicated staff, as without their passion and support, we wouldn't have achieved this honour. I would also like to thank all our customers, vegan and non-vegan, who have supported us through all these uncertain times and for nominating us for the award."
