September/October 2021

When my wedding photographer asked me what moments I’d love to capture on our big day, I must admit I was a bit overwhelmed. There’s so much about weddings that I adore that it’s hard to break down and put into a list. To help, I took inspiration from all the lovely real weddings I’ve seen over the years and my favourite moments, such as the vows and seeing your partner for the first time. After such a strange year for all of us, it’s nice to finally think about something positive and talk to wonderful suppliers who, like us, are happy that nuptials are getting back to normal. I’m so excited for the flurry of weddings and to see all your pictures and share the happy moments with you all.

To celebrate, we’ve put together a showstopping issue that’s full of inspiration. We have three real weddings, three styled shoots, the latest styling trends and a must-see planning guide. What’s more, our fashion section is full of fabulous fairytale-inspired dresses.

If you’d like to be featured, get in touch via our website or email me at melissab@kdmediapublishing.com

Pencoed House Estate

Dating back to 979AD, Pencoed House Estate used to be a monastery before it was transformed into the home of sheriffs of the county, ministers of the church, the King of Glamorgan and legend dictates that even King Arthur and Queen Guinevere lived here. This idyllic property is situated at the end of a tree-lined driveway and majestic arched entranceway. The 36 acres of grounds encompass well-groomed lawns, flowers, shrubbery, a babbling brook, a play area, ancient woodland and local wildlife.

The stately Old Hall is made of original stone walls, has a striking vaulted ceiling, wooden beams, a roaring log fire and room for 120 guests throughout the day.

Adjacent to the Old Hall is the Woodland Bar, a cosy self-contained bar that serves as the perfect location for pre-and post-wedding drinks.

There are also two outside reception spaces for couples looking for an al fresco celebration, both of which can seat 40 nearest and dearest.
