House of Sunny channels seaside nostalgia for latest SS26 'Coastal' drop perfect for honeymoons

There's something enduring about the British seaside. The salt in the air, the faded charm of ice cream vans, stripey deckchairs lining the promenade. It's a special kind of nostalgia and House of Sunny is diving in headfirst for SS26 with its latest drop 'Coastal'.

Drawing on pretty harbour towns and traditional seaside wardrobes, the collection reworks familiar coastal cues into something modern and considered. Stripes reminiscent of vintage deckchairs run throughout, while a palette of washed mints, butter yellows and soft sky blues mirrors the slightly sun-faded tones of British summers.

At the centre is the brand's iconic 'Tripper' cardigan, reimagined via a new in-house print that chimes with the same nostalgic references. Elsewhere, the ever-popular 'Hockney' makes a long-awaited return alongside a series of lightweight, easy silhouettes designed to move between settings, equally at home by the seaside as they are in the city.

"We kept coming back to the idea of British seaside kitsch. The colours are never quite perfect, the stripes slightly off," says Sunny Williams the brand's creative director and founder. "There's something nostalgic in that imperfection, and we wanted the collection to feel the same, not too polished."

That idea carries through the materials. Recycled mesh sits alongside soft cottons, while an embroidered anglaise fish motif adds a subtle, playful detail. The result is a wardrobe built around the ease of coastal living. These are versatile pieces that can be worn alone or layered depending on your mood. The newest "Coastal" collection are clothes designed for repeat wear, shaped by memories.

Sunny Williams concludes: "It's our own take on summer dressing, one that captures the British season. Where sunshine is usually followed by a cool breeze."
