Newlyweds seeking a UK-based luxury break need look no further than a new lodge - The Heartwood - in the New Forest.

It features natural wood furniture and stone-inspired backdrops, with cosy and stylish interiors including a Chesterfield-style corner sofa in the lounge, a free-standing bath tub in the master bedroom with its own dedicated TV at the foot of the bath – the ultimate in luxury accommodation. And all of the new lodges come with a hot tub – the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine and breathe in the magical woodland air.

The accommodation sleeps up to seven, so is also an ideal choice for familymoons. Indeed, for those with little ones in tow, the holiday village also has a packed programme of Easter-inspired activities including a wide range of arts and crafts such as egg decoration, cotton bud lamb creations, Easter pottery painting, bunny plant pots, marble Easter eggs, Easter baskets, Easter bonnet making and making chocolate nests and bunny biscuits. And for children who like to look out for our feathered friends, they will have the opportunity to make a bird box that they can they take home and put in their gardens. There will be an outdoor cinema at Sandy Balls throughout the Easter holidays showing a number of family favourites, including Babe, Finding Nemo, Shrek, Sherlock Gnomes, Despicable Me and Teen Titans Go To The Movies. And of course Easter weekend wouldn't be the same without an Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday – and there is guaranteed to be lots of eggs.

There's also a wide range of outdoor activities at Sandy Balls for all the family that take their inspiration from the holiday village's forest locations. These include: walks with alpacas; horse-riding; archery; forest cashing; pond dipping; woodland survival; alpaca walks; forest walks; combat games; and laser clay shooting as well as lots of arts and crafts activities.

Being located in the New Forest, Sandy Balls is the perfect place to enjoy an autumnal break with acres of forest to explore, including Moors Valley Country Forest and Park. Here, children can follow Gruffalo Spotters Trails, enjoy the wooden play equipment including the giant ants' nest, the snake pit and the crocodile crossing and hop on the country park's authentic steam train for an adventure around the park. The beaches of Bournemouth and Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park are also just a short drive away.

Prices lead in at £768 for three nights in a Heartwood from 19-21 April. The Heartwood sleeps up to seven. To book, go to  www.awayresorts.co.uk
