A million love songs

Kristy and Ceri tied the knot with a beautiful wedding at The Brynffynon.

Kristy Thomas, 38, married Ceri Jones, 38, at Penuel Chapel Ferndale and held the reception at The Brynffynon in Pontypridd on 17th June, 2017.

We had our ceremony at Penuel Chapel Ferndale. We loved its beauty and that it's local to us.

Our reception was at The Brynffynon. We adored the surrounding grounds, and the staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

A million love songs: Image 3We love music, so we decided to have vinyl-shaped favours that doubled up as place mats. Each one was personalised with our guests' names.

A million love songs: Image 3b Our cake was music-themed, and each layer was dedicated to one of our favourite bands. We chose figurines of us as the topper. Ceri's was singing into a microphone, while mine was wearing rugby socks from when I used to play the sport.

We purchased the bouquets from eBay. We opted for ivory and grey roses, which looked fabulous.

A million love songs: Image 5Our centrepieces were grey flowers wrapped in sheet music. These looked great and tied in with our theme perfectly.

A million love songs: Image 5b I chose a gorgeous Jaeden vintage gown from Amazon. I loved the champagne colour and its simple design.

Ceri wore a taupe-coloured suit with a grey tie and buttonhole made from sheet music. The best men wore the same with brown brogues.

A million love songs: Image 7The bridesmaids wore MicBridal short evening gowns from Amazon. We ordered one dress, and everyone loved it! We went to order more and found they were out of stock. We had a bit of a panic but managed to purchase them in the end.

A million love songs: Image 7b We had two bands perform in the evening. Both Bella Collins and The 4th Kind were amazing, and they kept everyone on the dancefloor throughout the night.

We hired a magician called James Piper Mind Magic to keep our guests entertained throughout the day. He blew everyone away and was a great addition to our nuptials.

A million love songs: Image 9The speeches were wonderful, and one of Ceri's close friends even started crying!

A million love songs: Image 9b We were both so excited and relaxed on the morning of the wedding. The atmosphere was perfect, and we wouldn't change a thing.

Chris and Jacqueline from Jones and Jones Photography were absolutely amazing. They created a relaxed atmosphere, and we quite often forgot they were there. We're so happy with our photographs, and we even printed off 300 of them because we couldn't choose our favourites!

A million love songs: Image 11Having our daughter as one of our bridesmaids was special and meant a lot to us.

A million love songs: Image 11b We went to Sorrento for two weeks for our honeymoon. Two of our close friends and their children accompanied us. It was an amazing experience, and we'd definitely go again.
