Annemarie Thomas, 30, married Kieran Morgan, 30, at Miskin Manor on the 21st August, 2016.
We decided to get married at Miskin Manor; we fell in love with the beautiful gardens and how friendly all of the staff were. We were amazed by the manor's character and charm. We particularly liked the layout of the reception room, it was split in two which gave us multiple spaces to choose from.
I tried on more than 50 dresses, in the end I saw a dress on an advertisement for All About Eve. I attended the store on a designer day especially to see the gown. The staff were extremely helpful and patient; I loved the style of it, it was just perfect and completely different to what I originally wanted.
I needed some help with my flowers and Expressions Florist were extremely helpful and put together every thing for me. We had vintage roses, berries and gypsophila in my bouquet and we used the same flowers for our tables with the addition of some lilies.
I went with Kieran to help him choose his outfit, we ended up picking a navy suit with a gold tie.
I had my hair done by CF40 Experience, it's my normal hairdresser so I knew the team would do a good job. I tried two different hairstyles before I made a decision and I chose to accessorise it with a veil. I decided to have my make-up done by Kirsty Rowlands, as I'd seen a few weddings she'd worked on and loved her style.
We decided to have mascots to keep the children enter tained, we had Spiderman and a character from Paw Patrol keep the children happy while all of the photos were being taken – it was definitely the best money we spent.
I already knew what colour bridesmaid dresses I wanted so that made the process slightly easier. I booked an appointment with All About Eve and all five girls picked out their favourite style and by fate they all liked the same. They accompanied their dresses with bouquets of gypsophila that fit perfectly with our colour scheme.
We had a cake made by Cherylicious. We originally ordered a three-tiered French fancy design but we changed it to plain cream icing with hessian and gypsophila decorations. I told her the style I liked and the flavours I wanted; chocolate, sponge and lemon and she put together an amazing creation.
For our entertainment we had a DJ called Matthew Wilson and a band called The Guy That Gets The Girl. We wanted a mixture of music genres, so we had the band play first so the guests had something to watch and the DJ stepped in afterwards so everyone could have a dance. Both were amazing, we'd seen the band previously and loved their music and the DJ was recommended by the hotel.
We had hessian table runners and Chiavari chairs, I wanted to keep everything simple and use the character of the room as decoration. For our centrepieces we had gypsophila in large glass bowls, cream photo frames with hessian table numbers, cream lanterns and of course selfie sticks.
We chose Philip Warren as our photographer after we saw some of his previous work and we both felt it was amazing. We'd highly recommend him, he was discreet and took the most amazing photos, thank you so much Phil!
