Greta and Daniel celebrated their love at Caldicot Castle followed by a reception at The Barn at Brynich

Greta and Daniel met in the modern way, online. “We had our first date at a Costa in Cornwall,” says Greta. “Dan picked me up from college, where I was studying art, and I was covered in paint and plaster so I must have made a good first impression! Since then we haven’t gone a day without talking to each other.”

Daniel asked Greta to be his wife on New Year’s Even in 2015. “He used my great grandmother’s engagement ring which my mum had given him when he asked for her blessing,” shares the bride. ”The proposal didn’t go quite to plan as Dan has originally planned to ask me when the fireworks went off but had to improvise as I wasn’t feeling well and nearly ruined the surprise! He finally asked me at the top of the hill at Minions, Cornwall. It’s a spot where Dan and I would go to watch the sunset, and he’d ring me when I was on my way home from college. He pretended to get a flat tyre and came round to my side of the car and played Jason Derulo’s Marry Me through the speakers.”
