The Big Pembrokeshire Pantomime is thrilled to announce that Welsh rugby legend, Gareth Thomas, will be joining the cast of this year's spectacular production of Aladdin taking on the magical role of the Genie. The former Wales rugby captain, who earned 100 caps for his country, will be bringing his larger than-life personality to the pantomime stage this December, joining the previously announced Drew Baker as Widow Twankey (who also directs the production) and Tom Dyer from Pure West Radio as the villainous Abanazer.
The Big Pembrokeshire Pantomime team expressed their excitement about welcoming such an iconic Welsh sporting hero to their production. "We are absolutely over the moon to have Gareth Thomas joining our pantomime family," said a spokesperson for The Big Pembs Panto.
Drew Baker, who will both direct the production and don the outrageous costumes of Widow Twankey, commented: "Working with Gareth is going to be absolutely brilliant! He brings so much energy and enthusiasm to everything he does, and I know audiences are going to be utterly spellbound by his performance. It's going to be our biggest, boldest and funniest pantomime yet!"
Aladdin will run from 10th to 31st December 2025 – perhaps you're looking for a quirky hen do at that time of year! Tickets can be purchased from the official website at bigpembspanto.com
