BIG MAC’S WHOLLY SOUL BAND CELEBRATION

Big Mac's Wholly Soul Band are a 12-piece classic soul band who have been together since 1990; they've played all over the UK, and in other stunning locations such as Vienna, Cairo, Tenerife, Germany and Dublin. Its lineup includes tenor saxophone, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, three female singers, one male singer, keyboards, bass, drums and guitar – that's a whole lot of soul in one room!

The band have supported or shared the bill with acts such as Billy Ocean, Edwin Starr, Jools Holland, Van Morrison, and many more. Big Mac have also written and recorded with Wilson Pickett's daughter Veda, who is working to keep the memory of her father alive. They celebrated their 35th anniversary at the Corn Exchange in Newport on June 14th – an unforgettable way to commemorate an ever-successful career and to share the sound of soul.
