Perched above Mount Llanfabon and situated in six acres of hilltop countryside is the grand Llechwen Hall Hotel. This charming Victorian mansion was transformed into a luxurious hotel in 1990 and still retains much of its 17th-century décor and historical charm. The property recently underwent an extension and boasts 24 new bedrooms (44 in total). Each has a modern yet traditional décor, Welsh toiletries and stylish bedding. There’s also an on-site AA Rosette winning restaurant, a lounge and a bar area that’s decorated with soft furnishings to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Lovebirds can choose from three areas for the vows. The Nelson Suite has original oak beams, a private entrance, a bar, bifolding doors and space for 100 friends and family for the ceremony and 50 seated for the wedding breakfast.

The Garden Marquee is ideal for larger celebrations of up to 120 guests for the ceremony and 300 for the reception. This purpose-built structure has floor-to-ceiling glass panels, impressive views, crisp white drapes, a private bar, bespoke lighting, air conditioning and a dancefloor.

Due to open in 2020, the Jail House is a historic stone building, once used as an overnight stop-over for alleged convicts heading to the magistrates the following day. Currently being renovated, the building comprises of original oak beams, rustic chandeliers and an interior balcony that overlooks ceremonies taking place below.

Couples will receive a complimentary menu tasting, a bedroom on the night of the wedding with breakfast the following morning and an anniversary stay.
