To help couples effected by COVID-19, we've spoken to Alin from Studio DAAS and asked for his top tips on re-booking a photographer and more about his new elopment package. Alin tells us:

"Availability - is the photographer available for my new date? If you wish to keep the same photographer you booked for your original date, this is the first question that needs to be asked, it is indeed very obvious. The same applies if you consider another photographer for whatever reason (say if they are no longer available for your new date).

"Back-up plan - what happens if the photographer needs to self-isolate or becomes ill due to the COVID-19 on my new date? Do they have a safety plan? Could they provide a replacement of similar style/ quality? Would they perhaps consider editing the photographs to keep the style similar?

"Deposit - what happens with my deposit if I need to re-book again due to the current pandemic? Will I be able to get the deposit transferred to another date or have it refunded? It is important to know if the photographer is willing to bend their contract, given this current situation is a 'force majeure'.

"Insurance - do they have professional indemnity and public liability insurance? This is a relevant question in any circumstances and all professional photographers should be insured but it is better if you double-check.

"Keep safe and keep planning! We are living uncertain times, yet it is important not to panic! Everything will work out!

"We thought that during this period of time, brides and grooms may re-consider the arrangements for their special day and, if they wish to keep their original date, then they may want to organise an elopement. Of course, this will mean compliance with the current guidance from the Government and may actually offer a more intimate experience. We simply love the idea of elopement, we had one ourselves! So, we've created a new package for £499, within 50 miles radius from NP11, which will include:

"Pre-wedding consultation via video link.
"Unlimited coverage of the day; we will stay with you for as long as you want us to!
"Highlights within a few days and the rest of the photos within three weeks.
"All photos carefully edited by myself for a unique and personal feel; most of our clients describe our photography as being artistic!
"A stylish high-quality 20-page photo album, 30x20cm/ 12x8in. You can choose between a textile or leatherette cover, available in a wide variety of colours.
"Full rights to print the images and use them on social media, no watermarks.

"We're doing our best for our brides and grooms to exceed their expectations in terms of photography and to create an unforgettable and pleasant experience whilst working with us during their special day. We are committed in heart and mind!"
