Just a stone’s throw from the Llangorse Lake in the Brecon Beacons sits the impressive Tall John’s House. The manor house is located amongst the rolling Welsh hills and private grounds with impressive lawns, mature trees and views across the valley. Built to celebrate the demise of the Spanish Armada, the property has been hosting weddings since 1588 and has a range of spaces available
for events.

Those looking to stay the night can choose between the Honeysuckle Cottage, which sleeps eight on a self-catering basis or The Cochmans, which is a charming getaway for two. The manor house can also hold 20 on a staffed basis with breakfast included.

Celebrate in style
The restored Welsh barn looks across the Black Mountains and is available for weddings. Boasting two enchanting courtyards, underfloor heating, insulation, electric points, hard floors, integral toilets and a catering area, this charming space has it all. The team have created a light and airy room that retains the romance of the original building with slit windows, high beams and exposed brickwork. It can cater for 160 loved ones, and the split level granary can accommodate 80, with room for more people to stand in the gallery above.

Those looking for an intimate space can say their vows in the Drawing Room, located inside the manor house, with up to 20 friends and family.

Tall John’s can also cater for intimate or elopement weddings for up to 30 nearest and dearest in the manor house and granary.
