Top tips for wearing make-up with oily skin

Q – My skin is very oily, so I generally avoid wearing make-up, but I want to look amazing on my big day. Do you have any product suggestions or looks I should go for?

"This is actually a very common problem and doesn’t mean you need to avoid wearing make-up. I use Illamasqua Matte Veil Primer, an amazing non-silicon based primer, on this type of skin. It creates a lovely base for your foundation without making your skin slippery. I also opt for MAC Pro Longwear Waterproof Foundation. Not many people are away of this product, it’s great if you expect to cry or sweat on the day and it’s buildable so you can wear it sheer or heavy. I then use a cotton pad to press fixing powder into the oiliest areas. I like to use Federico Mahora Fixing Powder, it’s not expensive, not bright white or yellow and works like a dream. Lastly, I use a fixing spray over your make-up. Take a pad and some powder with you to touch up the oily areas throughout the day or an oil blotting paper."
