Tie the knot at the National Museum of History

St Fagans National Museum of History is set within 100 acres of breathtaking countryside. Gifted to the people of Wales by the Earl of Plymouth, the Grade I listed Elizabethan castle is ideal for both large and intimate celebrations. It boasts a classical décor throughout, as well as oak furniture and grand paintings. There are plenty of places to take those all-important photographs, including a mulberry grove and vinery.

Couples can tie the knot in the Concert Hall. Located on the first floor, it's capable of holding 90 loved ones for the vows.

Alternatively, the Oakdale Workmen's Institute is available. Built in 1917 and reopened at the museum in 1995, it boasts an intricately carved fireplace and beautiful furniture. This room can hold 40 friends and family for the ceremony.

The Dining Hall can also be used, with space for 60 nearest and dearest for the service and 40 for the evening celebration.

Weather permitting, an elegant marquee can be erected in the grounds to accommodate 140 partygoers for the reception.

The Atrium, a beautiful glassed arena with room for 200 attendees, is ideal for larger nuptials.

The award-winning caterers can craft a personal wedding menu using locally sourced ingredients, and the coordinators can recommend a range of trusted suppliers.
