We find out more about local company, Precious Accessories: Image 1

We spoke to the owner of Precious Accessories, Jo Thomas, to find out more about the company and her recently nomination.

She tells us: "I'm based in Newport, South Wales, and offer a national service with clients as far as America. I provide my clients with high-quality designs and a bespoke service. My items aren't mass-produced, which means you'll be getting a product that's as individual as you are.

"I started the business back in March 2004 after designing and making my wedding jewellery in 2003. I always had an eye for jewellery and studied it many years ago. After looking around local bridal shops for my wedding and not seeing what I had in mind, I decided to create my accessories and haven't looked back since.

"I take into consideration the style of the bride's dress, hairstyle, likes and dislikes and use top-quality materials to create the perfect design. If brides have a theme, I can even incorporate it into their accessories. I'm currently working on a Harry Potter-themed wedding for one of my clients which is very exciting. I've created themed shoes, a tiara, a bouquet using foam roses and her attendants' accessories.

"I cover all bridal accessories, but my favourite is shoes! I offer a customisation service and can cater for all budgets. I put a lot of love and hard work into my designs and really take pride in what I do and offer.

"I've been nominated again this year for The Best of Welsh Wedding Awards. I reached the finals last year, and it was really touching to think that some of my past clients voted and nominated me for the award. Sadly, I didn't win but have everything crossed for this year!"
