It's not often that Royal weddings with all the fanfare they normally bring across a nation are held in secret; however, Princess Beatrice has married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a private Windsor ceremony which was attended by the Queen today!

Princess Beatrice and Italian property tycoon Edoardo Mapelli Mozz, who have been together since 2018, announced their engagement on September 16th 2019 and Royal wedding fans were rejoicing - following a bumper 2018 which was the year of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's and Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's memorable wedding days.

The latter, both grand public affairs with hundreds and thousands of fans from around the world counting down to the big days, desperate to see what the brides would be wearing, to see the 'I dos' on television and watch the splendour in all its glory.
Shying away from such a public display this year, perhaps due to the upheaval of postponing their original wedding date due to the pandemic - Beatrice was due to marry on 29th May 2020 but the plans were delayed by coronavirus - or perhaps because of her father's Prince Andrew's very public denouncing from Royal duties, Princess Beatrice has married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a private ceremony this morning on Friday 17th July 2020.

The setting was traditional, The Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge in Windsor Park and in attendance were her grandparents - the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh - along with close family including Prince Andrew. The wedding took place in accordance with all relevant government guidelines, with just 20 guests Buckingham Palace said. Watching her sixth grandchild tie the knot, the Queen looked splendid in mint green, and we're all waiting to see what the gorgeous bride was wearing - watch this space!
